Spine Connection Org Pty Ltd as trustee for the Spine Connection Trust (ABN 27 822 365 860), trading as Spine Connection ("Spine Connection", "we", "us", "our"), is a medical travel organisation that helps patients access spine specialists overseas. We take the privacy of your personal and health information seriously. This policy explains what we collect, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have.
Because we help patients from many countries, this policy is written to apply wherever you live. Depending on your location, additional privacy rights may apply to you under your local laws.
We only collect the information you provide so that we can arrange a specialist review of your spine condition. This includes:
We do not collect or store your payment card details. When an evaluation fee applies, payment is handled by our payment provider (Stripe) through a secure online invoice; we never see or hold your card information.
We do not use advertising or retargeting trackers on our website, and we do not build marketing profiles of people with spine conditions.
We use your information for one main purpose: to arrange and support an independent review of your case by the spine specialists you ask us to approach, and to coordinate any treatment and rehabilitation you choose to pursue. We also use your contact details to respond to your enquiries and keep you informed about your own case.
We do not sell your information, and we do not add you to marketing lists or use it to target you with advertising.
Spine Connection connects patients with spine surgeons and hospitals in Germany and Thailand. With your request and direction, we share your evaluation details, images and reports with the specific overseas surgeons, hospitals and rehabilitation providers you have asked us to seek a review or treatment from. These recipients are located in Germany and Thailand.
We share your information only for the purpose of your review and treatment, and only with the providers relevant to your case. By asking us to arrange a review with an overseas provider, you consent to your information being disclosed to that provider in their country.
We store your information securely and limit access to the people who need it to handle your case. Some of the secure services we use to store and transfer files may hold data on servers located outside your home country.
We keep your evaluation data only as long as needed to arrange and support your review and treatment, and then securely delete it.
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal and health information we hold about you at any time. We will respond to your request as soon as reasonably possible. To make a request, or if you have any question or concern about your privacy, please contact us via our Contact Us page or at info@spineconnection.org.
If you have any concern about how we have handled your information, please contact us so we can try to resolve it. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to raise your concern with the privacy regulator in your own country.
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be available on our website, with the "last updated" date shown above.
